Boxing Program Details
- Warm-up exercises such as jumping rope, shadow boxing, and calisthenics
- Technical training such as footwork, stance, and punch technique
- Bag work, including heavy bag , and double-end bag work
- Mitt work, where a trainer or partner holds pads for the boxer to strike
- Sparring, where the boxer practices with a partner wearing protective gear
- Conditioning and strength training, including weightlifting, cardio, and core exercises
- Flexibility training and stretching to prevent injury
- Cool-down and recovery activities such as foam rolling
Boxing Training Center
All Levels – No experience necessary. Class is equal parts basic instruction (punches, combinations, footwork, ducking and slipping) and conditioning. This is where beginners learn the fundamentals and more experienced members get back to basics.
We deliver individual attention and place emphasis on technique. During “Padwork” drills – members pair up and practice what they’ve learned on each other along with some light contact.
We focus on real-time application and implementation includes supervised Offence / Defense style drills. These drills are not for fighters only! They are for any member interested in putting everything they’ve learned together in a safe, controlled setting.
Cardio typically includes two to three rounds of warm up exercises, such as shadowboxing or jumping rope.
Our boxing classes in Belleville run 3 times a week. Tuesday – Thursday & Friday.

When Can I Train

Next, you’ll move on to bag work. Our gym is equipped with heavy bags, wall bags and double-end bags, providing you with the tools you need to improve your power, speed, and endurance. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with a partner on Mitt work, where a trainer or partner holds pads for you to strike.
Sparring is also an important part of our training. You’ll have the opportunity to practice with a partner wearing protective gear in our advanced sparring classes that run at 8:15pm to 9:00pm Wednesdays & Fridays, allowing you to apply your skills and techniques in a realistic setting.
In addition to the boxing-specific training, you’ll also participate in conditioning and strength training, including weightlifting, cardio, and core exercises. Flexibility training and stretching are also incorporated to help prevent injury.
Finally, you’ll end the class with cool-down and recovery activities such as stretching. These activities are essential for reducing muscle soreness, increasing blood flow and helping your body to recover.
